I have a weird dilemma. I don't invest in pirate software, BUT I travel to Thailand a lot (my girlfriend is Thai and is back there 6 months of the year). Now, there is a plethora of pirated software, BUT you can also buy the original software at a fraction of the US cost. I mean, a boxed set with manual, individual cd key (for games like Red Alert, etc). We're talking cheap. 10-15 bucks for Ghost Recon, Emperor of Dune, Max Payne (the pirated usually go for around 3.50 a CD, no documentation, natch). The only problem is that the manual is in Thai. My reading skills are still pretty basic, so I can't use them. I usually use the tutorial (if they have one) and I'm cool. I bought Wiz 8 here, because I didn't want to wait (and they usually only have the major games over there).
I'm heading back in 2 weeks and should be able to get a bunch of new titles! I'm psyched.
This saves me a lot of dough because I have four computers on a LAN and even though I could make copies of the CD, usually I don't like to do that.
