Jem is right, you do need to be carrying two of the three items (any two). Also, I forgot to mention that there are two north paths there. One goes straight north from that little pagoda thing where you find the musical instrument. The other goes east and then turns north. You want the path that goes east, then north, to reach the wilderness clearing.
