Did you disarm the Savants bomb in the Arnika tower? If not you needed to do so by telporting there from the Kings room in the Rapax castle. There is a hiden room in his chambers that contains a teleporter. Try to avoid killing the T'rang and the Trinnie next time too
Killing the Rapax is inevitable really, unless you wannna be hexed for good.
