One of my cats (Pixel) loves it too! According to her, this is the best game I ever played - her first computer game was Tetris, which I still play occasionally just for her amusement.
Sometimes, though, I don't know whether she's on my side or the monsters'. The first time she tromped across the keyboard and stepped on the backslash key ... I thought the baddies would slit me from my guggle to my zatch before I figured out what was happening!
