if you play on expert it is probably better to go non-overlapping, as your book skills will increase to a point fast enough anyway.

higher difficulty means more skill increases because you end up using them more.

so on expert you would end up with higher numbers in both books than on novice for roughly the same lv.

so if you play on expert your skills will increase to the point where it wont matter if you were overlapping or not. the difference will be that if you arent over lappping you will have good numbers in both books, while only good numbers in one book if you are overlapping

expert means non-overlap, as you will get to a point where they will both be equaly good, and it should happen relativly fast. Otherwise you will end up being a mage who can cast a few low lv psi spells
