Ok this double-sided thing is quite random I think. I double-sided all the way without any problem. It was quite late in the quests (for both sides) that I bribed He-Li to shut up, and even later that I got rid of Kunar. My bet is that He-Li talked too much (Kunar would have the same effect but on the T'rang side).
