I'm starting a new game up and wonder if anyone has any opinion
of choosing a monk over a fighter and a ninja over a bard or
any of the others.

My party would be
Fighter (or Monk)
Samurai
Ninja (or Bard)
Rogue
Bishop
Priest (or Mage)
