Consider starting with a priest and changing to a Lord later on. Sword skill will increase as you use it, but you need those healing skills soon on in this game!

Overall, I say it looks good...do consider the Priest, though. At least get Wizardry and Divinity up considerably (get him or her through Level 5 at least), then switch to Lord. Be adding points to Strength and Dex as well as to Piety and INT on each level up.
P.S. If you're considering taking Vi Domina along, you may want to rethink the Lord...Vi Domina is by far better as a Valkyrie.
