Yes. Limit your skill developments becuase you have to be specialized to handle tough creatures starting around level 8. If your fighters have a 20 skill rating in 3 weapons versus a 60 in one, you will have alot of trouble. Focusing on one field in spellcasting will also make thos spells more powerful. I had to restart the game twice already because I had many Jack's of all trades. Now that I am more focused I am doing much better. It's really cool how the game forces you to do this too since it would only make sense that the only powerful spellcaster would be your mage, your best healer your priest, your best swordsman your fighter, etc. instead of having 6 people equally good at all.
