I don't know if you should, but that's what i'm doing, i never put anything to artifact and mythology stuffs, they always get raised anyways. I specialize in only one weapon and have that character always use that type of weapon. For the stats points, you should try to increase any stats you want to 100 as quickly as possible, cuz you'll get special skill. But then again, i'm a wizardry newbie, so i don't know if it's the right thing to do.
