Another old fart here, and an Australian one at that. 39 going on 20, and living by the shores of Lake Macquarie in NSW. My first experience of computer games was a text adventure called 'Adventure' that I played on a DEC PDP11 at the place where my stepfather worked in 1978. I spent many weekends making maps and being chortled at by passing pirates.
I worked as a computer tech through the 80's (mini's and Unix boxes) and had a very low opinion of PC's and their ilk. I started to get interested with Betrayal at Krondor, but didn't really become obsessed until BG. Loved M&M 6 & 7, and W&W.
Now I just can't help myself, and I'm avidly looking forward to my preordered copy of W8 to arrive [img]smile.gif[/img]
