Once you knock out the controller guy (2nd level), he's Valygar's great Uncle or something, forgot his name, he'll use up the last power to transfer you to another dimension (hell) where you can get a fresh daemon heart to put in the sphere.

Once he does this, you need to exit the sphere, and you'll be in a different plane. There are several tanar'ri here, when you kill one, you get its heart. You don't NEED to kill all 3, but I did

Anyways, once you do that, you'll be back on your way to Amn, if you survive the 6 or so golems that pop up in the "engineering" section.
