I've just finished
Bane of the Cosmic Forge again (the first time since finishing it when it came out!), and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to optimize the import into Wizardry 7. I'm wandering around now, fighting powerful monsters in the Temple of Ramm and hoping for special items. Is this the best place to battle and look for items in Wiz 6?
I have the Diamond Ring, but nothing else too special. I sold most of the special items weapons because I have an all-Ninja party (most with around 500hps) and even when I change classes, they still use hands and feet most of the time with an occasional Bushido blade as primary or Sai as secondary. So I dumped all the super-duper armor and such.
I maxed out all the stats on one of my characters, so I can't go on until I hex edit him back down. I *really* dislike cheating, but in this case, I need to lower his stats so I can continue playing.
How high level should I get before importing into Crusaders? As an experiment I changed one character to a new class before an import, and his skill levels went from 100s the teens. The other characters, which are mostly around level 25 or so, had skills in the thirties after the import. Any ideas? Thanks!
By the way, Wyvern, I dug up your old guide. Thanks! It was great not having to map all that again. Oddly enough, though, back then I really
enjoyed mapping.
