well, the maps in unlimited adventures didn't scroll per se, they just showed about 2/3 at a time and when you got to the border on the east or west, it would jump to show the remaining 1/3 with the middle 1/3.
glad to hear that bigger is not a problem. i'm starting work on a map of the dales, and i think it would be nigh impossible to show all of them on the default size overland. it's going to be a square about 640 to a side.
i do have a default size map (608x288) that i'm going to finish first- it's of a generic adventurous region of somewhere.
