1024x768 is the best resolution to work in, I agree. I just use 640x480 because I am (as I said before) a bad artist, and therefore all my pics are low-res. I.e. I'm too lazy. But to you dedicated people, I definitely recommend the 1024x768. It looks better and the boundaries are much smoother, since the colors can "blend" easier than in lower resolutions (of course, it's the same palette, but you know what I mean). Oh well, there goes my unrequested opinion.
