Ok, here's a history & description:
Back in the mists of time (say around 1993) a company called Stategic Simulations Inc. released a series of games for the Amiga and the PC called Gold Box Games. These games were somewhat graphically (and very musically) challenged, but due to the fantastic story lines and the fact that you could make your own characters, they proved to be very popular indeed.
Sometime after these games came out SSI decided that they would release the game creator for them, called: Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures (or FRUA). It was revolutionary at time (and still is) because it allowed people to create their own Gold Box games, with their own music, graphics, monsters, and maps.
Now. The only problem with FRUA was that it had very limited resources to play with when it was released and so it limited what you could do with designs.
This is where Richard Turner came in. He decided to write a Windows based updated version of FRUA with loads of extras and very few restrictions for nothing. How's that! The only thing he asks for is ideas & bug reports. You can join in the project (programming/artwork) if you think you can contribute by sending him an email.
