Huma, your exact problem and solution are what i finally had to use to play the game without re-installing every time i wanted to play after i ran Norton Windocter...I just dont fix anything that has the words "BG2" or "Diablo2" in it
(They run off similar files and who knows if you fix one the other mite not work
)
