Anyone who has read my posts knows that I love both games. Right now, I'm still "into" GB2 since I waiting for TOB. BUT...
BG1 is amazing. It the "first love", a truly great game which starts the epic. Since you are starting at level 1, there is still that feeling of "What a big, dangerous world we've entered.." After seeing the layout of the towns, I felt like the country boy visiting the "big" city when I first entered Baldur's Gate.
Finding cool weapons, and fighting my way through enemies while barely keeping myself alive...
The cool easter egg encounters... (remember the "lost little boy and his dog" episode?)
BG2 is what you'll remember after you play it, but everytime you load up BG, you'll find a lump in your throat...
gotta love 'em...
