..The Darksword Trilogy? Just finished it this week and it was great. I read the first one six years back and never got a hold of the last two until recently. I don't know if this would be classed as dark fantasy (?) but there is such a deepness about the writing, characters and the world that it's a welcome break from Dragonlance tales etc.
It's set in an original world created by the authors. Maybe I am reading too much into it but I myself noticed a certain amount of sattire in there too, especially when comparing to our world as it is today. Anyone read this great series?
