The problem most people had with the movie was that their expectations were never met. That's not a universal problem, but a personal one, IMHO.
I also liked Episode I and II, although there
were some scenes in both movies which were just horrible. Examples are the scene [in the Phantom Menace] where Anakin Skywalker gets in the Naboo fighter a 'kicks ass' in the following space fight. Certainly the dialogue ("Now this is podracing!"), and undoubtedly the entire scene could've been better.
Same goes for Episode II. I've never been a big fan of Yoda's transformation and every time I think about it I still can't get it right in my head. How can an old, crippled alien turn into a whirling superfighter? I can imagine his knowledge and wisdom of the force surpass Count Dooku's, but the size difference alone would allow Dooku to crush Yoda with his index finger.
