I'm guessing you haven't seen the movie. As in the comics, Harry will very likely become the Green Goblin.
As for Petey being too strong in the train scene, I'm not sure I agree with you. Spidey has limits, but, in the comics, he often surpasses these limits in times of great need, or emotion. Anyone remember when Aunt May was sick, and Spidey needed to get her the medicine, but was trapped under tons of rubble? That's essentially the same thing!
