I despise almost all remakes. Period. Doesn't matter if it is music, movies, television, etc. I have no plans whatsover to see Starsky and Hutch, especially since I remember the original show. I also remember the Six Million Dollar Man all to well, and just thinking about him in that role spoofing it makes me want to send a letter bomb to him and/or his agent. That reminds me about that talk of a Superman remake, with all of his powers coming from the costume (who can name the TV show this idea came from? ). I think that Bill Maher said it best: "we've run out of ideas". I don't even like the fact that they take an older movie, add a few scenes, then put it back in the theater in a lame attempt to make more money.

It all comes down to making money. They'll do anything to get your money, even if it means rehashing/ripping off an old, once successful idea. They're even doing the Stepford Wives again, and I've heard talk of a remake of the Amityville Horror. Needless to say, I won't be wasting any of my money on that garbage.
