I think the whole series of books isn't too bad except God Emporer, which got my nomination in Memnoch's hilarious worst book ever read thread thats kicking around this forum somewhere. I actually quite liked Dune Messiah, and Children of Dune was outstanding in my opinion. Heretics and Chapter House were less good as they both rambled a bit, but still worth reading if you're a fan of the rest of the stuff.
Haven't got round to reading any of the prequels as of yet, but plan to at some point in time.
