I realize that this movie has come and gone in the theatres but I was succesful in missing it at that time. Today however, my wife rented the DVD and "asked" me to watch it with her. This movie was so pompous, self-serving and fatuous that I had to share my anger. This movie may have been a critic's wet dream, but it was boring beyond belief.
The critic's formula for a good movie seems to be:
1)period costumes
2)English accents
3)long meandering speeches by characters that sound important but mean nothing
