[Cerek the Barbaric]

<font color=deepskyblue>My favorite non-fantasy author is Robert Ludlum. He writes mystery thrillers, two of which have been made into movies. The most notable of his works was <font color=white>The Bourne Identity</font>. The movie adaptation starring Matt Damon was done reasonably well, although the storyline was changed quite a bit. Still, it was done fairly well overall.

<font color=white>The Matarese Circle</font> is another excellent novel by Ludlum. Out of all the novels he has written, these two stand out as the best IMHO. The others tend to become a bit formulaic and predictable (although still entertaining).

I also like other mystery writers. During my college years, I was big fan of Sidney Sheldon and Ken Follett.

But with the intrusion of "real life duties" like a full time job and 3 kids, my "reading time" is practically non-existent now. I haven't actually read a novel in over 3 years...just don't seem to have enough time.

My wife still manages to read some of her favorite novels, though. Her favorite authoress is Elizabeth Lowell and I just bought her latest release this week.</font>
