I just finished it, it's by Thomas Reid, whose books I've never ever read before, but I'm very impressed. Not only does he spin a decent story, but he really gives you some insights into roleplaying a party of essentially evil, self-serving drow. And surprise surprise, they're not all slavering bloodthirsty psychos like some of the "evil" players you meet at Gamespy or Everquest.
They just happen to be selfish, occasionally arrogant, self-absorbed and supremely pragmatic.
Compulsory reading for a) anyone who wants to roleplay an evil character; and b) anyone who thinks that roleplaying an evil character means killing everything in sight.
