I cringed at the first movie, but the second one has restored some of my faith in the possibility of transferring the essence of the book to the big screen. Mind you, the movie has nothing on the book, but it is faithful and tries to squeeze in as much as it can, and that is commendable.
I ponder how they plan to do the fourth book though... by my estimates, it will be almost 6 hours long, were we to use the time:page ratio for the first two movies.
Anyway, if you like movie, make sure you read the book as well. [img]smile.gif[/img] There is a whole lot more going on than what the movie shows.
