while he can do good things, like the FR setting I think he assumes FR characters will all be uber-superheroes like the characters in his books, case in point, the module that shipped with th revised 2nd ed FR setting had an adventure in shadowdale, well under it to be more precise, dealing with drow, almost every enemy faced had weapons coated with drow sleep poison, how the hell is a party of 1-3 lvl characters supposed to survive the first few encounters, let alone finish it, esp when you have to wait some 1d4 HOURS for the poison to wear off...
