The Drow books by Cunningham are quite good. They show another aspectof the drow race.. Salvatore shows a very limited side, but Cunningham explores the Drow society in depth...

Dragonlance series... The trilogies are a good place to start... But before getting caught up into the Chaos Wars and the War of the Souls, I would recommend reading a few of the many supplemental books surrounding the characters found in the original Dragonlance trilogy...

These other books give good background stories on the characters and their offspring found thru out the expansive series...
