<font color = lightgreen>Who could have been more colorful than the Green Goblin? Good characterization on him, too--split personality, despite being an awful affliction in real life, makes for sympathetic yet evil villains.
Strangely enough, this didn't have the
feel of a typical Sam Raimi film, if you discount the more tortured Peter Parker who must walk away from those he loves (go see Darkman again for more of this).
re: Mary Jane Watson. The MJ from the comics did not have an abusive family life. This was simply character-tweaking for the movie version.
re: the Hulk. I almost laughed out loud when I saw the trailer, because, as you can read above, I suspected that he would be the next character to make the leap to the wide screen. Thunderbolt Ross aside, most likely he'll have to go up against the Leader or the Abomination.</font>
