You've hit on the precise reason I wasn't very enthusiastic when it first came out, Virgil. It was really hyped and so I wasn't sure how the film was going to be - I expected it to be really glamarous and Hollywoodish - but it wasn't, fortunately. But ack, maybe I'm just paranoid
