D'you know, I WONDERED if it was! I loved those books! Tamora Pierce is an excellent writer.
I am really glad you enjoyed the Pullman books! Nice to find someone else who has read them! My ex-son-in-law recommended them to me - he has VERY good taste in books!
The Dark is Rising is a bit scary! Good, but scary.
