I just started reading my first Ravenloft novel, Knight of The Black Rose by James Lowder. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through it but it is looking promising so far! Very moody and dark, and the protagonist is evil, for a change - so it's evil vs. evil - Count Strahd von Zarovich against Lord Soth.
I'll let you guys know what I think of it when I finish.
