If you can find it, there is an Annoted version to the Chronicles of the Lance series (that's the Summer, Winter, Spring trio, right?) that is very good reading. Tells you the author's thoughts while writing/playing the PnP games, etc. The Author's account of when they sent Tanis down the well with Goldmoon's Staff at the beginning of the adventure they rolled was priceless.
