True to my word, have purchased Salvtore's Dark Elf Trilogy today to make the comparison. Only problem is that I have the last Robin Hobbs to complete (barely started), the latest Pratchett hardcover, and a Mechwarrior novel to read first. Will let you all know by about October how the comparison went
