Hey Drake, your right, Eighty is even, and LOL, Robin is a she (wow, red with embarrasment for not knowing that). Have to admit I never gave it a thought at all up until now, because the well told story is the thing for me.
I went back to all the Farseer novels, searched very carefully, and none of the covers or credits gave me any clue on gender (either in acknowledgments, credits, or publisher's dust jacket piece on author). It is only the hitherto unread Liveship book that credits "SHE" as being also the author of the Farseer trilogy. That Robin is female is completely hidden as far as I can see if I was just reading the Farseer books. Anyway, good on her, she writes a bloody good story, and I'm a fan.
