Haven't been there in a while. I might try it out with some of my older characters when I start running them through the Undermountain again. Sure, they won't be as combat-ready as many other builds, but they were created with other themes in mind. After all, that IS what parties are for: big burly fighters or lithe wiry fighters protect everyone else - like the little crafting rogue with two shortswords glowing with red energy... Yeah... *grins* Still, I've taken pure fighter builds in there before and done alright for myself. Of course, that was JUST before I ran into a lich that refused to get hit. Ever. It was morally reprehensible. If and when I do go back to Muriel's Gauntlet, I am bringing spells with me. I haven't forgotten what's in there looking to carve the flesh from my bones.
What would be interesting, however, is everyone online one day drags one of the five henchmen to the Gauntlet to see how well they fare. Okay, we all KNOW Cookie is going to buy the farm early, but with the right equipment they MIGHT actually live to see the second level of the place! (That and some serious divine intervention I think.)

In the end, the path shall fade into nothingness for the one walking it, but may go on for eternity for those whom choose to follow. One must know their own footsteps before taking that first step, or instead of choosing your battles, your battles will choose you.
