I'll just strike down on two things here:

1) YES! The BG1 interface is much much nicer than the BG2 one. BG2 is simply overdone. Too much crap ornaments and yucky icons for more or less anything. Matter of taste I guess.

2) You can actually lift Frostbrand from Drizzt without fighting him making it the best freely accessible one-handed weapon. Also for defeating him.

EDIT: I knew there was something haunting my mind. One more issue:

3) Where did you get the scroll of imp invisibility? I have been hunting for that one for ages.
