Always considered this guy to be nigh unbeatable in BG1, but I recently lost some respect for him

Maybe it's just that playing ridiculous battles like the ones in Tactics and Ascension over and over gives you a new perspective on effective prebuffing. I remember when I tried to fight Drizzt with a single fighter a year ago, must've went through at least 20 different types of potions and the preparations for the fight took minutes, but that still failed miserably. Today though, with a level 7/8 dualclassed Fighter/Mage (154k XP) buffed with,
Potion of Storm Giant Strength
3x Potion of Mind Focusing
Potion of Invulnerability
Potion of Power
Oil of Speed
Prot from Evil
Blur
Imp Invisiblity
Defensive Harmony (from allied cleric otherwise being passive)
using the Short Sword of Backstabbing and the usual top of the line equipment like Helm and Cloak of Balduran, Golden Girdle, GoWE, Full Plate etc, I was sporting -26 AC vs Slashing and -3 THAC0. Drizzt was dead in less than 2 rounds while not scoring a single hit himself. Insane mode, but I guess that didn't make much of a difference.
Just felt like sharing
