Okay, I read the post about bastard swords in some pit somewhere, so I am now curious as to what pit is being described there. As well (as I am currently in Niagara Falls visiting a friend), I would love to know what are the three best in each of these categories (if the ones I mention afterwards are not the three best):
daggers: Ancient Dagger Of Shadows, Drow Dark Dagger, Guinsoo (I don't happen to like (epic) Sting as I've no clue how to properly use it.
axes (one handed): -no clues there-
staves (for mages): some bone one I saw once...
staves (for everyone else): -no clues there either-
axes (two-handed): some +10 axe I found somewhere and bought
longswords: -okay, this one I am completely lost on, maybe the Mordenkainen's Blade?-
bastard swords: Deathbringer (taken off of bodies on Level 12)
scimitars: Desert Dustmaker, Bumbis' Scaleslice, and of course, [ Melt ]
falchions: Blade Of Dragon Assault (which I just happen to LOVE that name, pity you cannot get weaponmaster levels in it. oh, that would be SO beautiful...)
Wind Fire Wheel: -found one of those somewhere. love the look of it.-
maces (small): apparently one which can only be achieved through the Proving Grounds
maces (large): one which can be acquired from bodies on Level 11
mauls: -think there was one on Level 12 to be purchased, but I am not sure.-
and I think that would be all the major weapons I have interest in. I know there are the spears and the tridents, but I have never created a character for either of those. information on longbows, shortbows, and crossbows would also be good, though I believe (for now) the Drow Longbow and the Oh Damnit! regular crossbow would be the top levels for those two.
