I wasn't sure what was going on but I made it to level 38 in a few hours of gamming. Kill 4 or 5 Drow on level 2, or 2 or 3 owl bears and advance 3 or 4 levels.

Then there were a couple times I tried talking to an NPC on Saturday and got the message "enter text here" this was talking to that guy in Skullport who normally asks you to kill someone on level 4. Weird!!!
