...Like Gnolls to the Slaughter
***

A man had told Shagrath of castle of gnolls, who had captured a witch and were holding her there. He wasn't so bothered about the gnolls, they could live or die, it didn't matter to him, but maybe the witch was worth something. He could kill the gnolls, then ransom her himself. So, he made his way towards the looming keep. On the bridge, he was confronted by 2 large orgrillions, who demanded 200 gold. Well, he wasn't going to pay, so battle commenced. They fell quite easyly, and one of them dropped a pair of nice bracers, but Shagrath didn't need them. They improved the weareres reactions to a certain level, but his were already past that. He scouted around the base of the keep, where he found a cave. He entered, and was immediatly attacked by many Xvarts, but they hardly put up a fight. There was on open casket, and Shagrath felt the urge to look. A dusty old tome was inside, which is put into his backpack. Out of the cave, he was attacked again, but by Gnolls. He took a few heavy swings from them, but again, proved victorios. After slaying many more gnolls, he finally found the witch in a pit. "Oh, thankyou for coming to my aid my lord!"
"I never said i was going aid you..." Shagrath growled, approahcing her with Varscona in hand.
"W-What do you mean?"
"You're worth quite something to a man in Nashkel, how much do you suppose i could get for your safe return? Maybe more for you UNsafe return..."
"You beast, you're no better than the Gnolls!"
Shagrath chuckled to himself, and raised Varsonca so it's blade was level with the witch's throat, and adopted a harsh tone. "I'm the last barrier between you and death's cold embrace, It would do you well to show me some respect."
"Is that all you came to do? Throw your wieght around? Well, with the gnolls gone, I'm taking my leave, good day"
Shagrath was outraged. He charged forwards, and swung his sword, taking off the witchs head. Well, that made things simpler. He didn't have to carry a whole body to the man in Nashkel, just a head now.
