The henchmen from the NWN official campaign pretty much only go as far as the bottom of Undermountain. Halastar sends them back to the surface to inform Durnan of the halted drow attacks. I think they did this to allow you to get a couple of different Henchmen in the drow rebel camp (with the exception of Deekin, who's generally cool). I'm not sure, but you may be able to use the Reaper to summon the original henchmen back once you're in Carnia...
