[/QUOTE]I'm not sure about that, as you can still get sneak attacks with a bow, from stealth, at range, and get xp, even on a kill, as opposed to simply damaging the oppenent. But I have noticed that the npc's seem to react to you as soon as you click the attack. This occurs at range, and in melee.
