From what I can figure, bards are the most versatile class. They wield both fields of magic, are competent fighters, and have a limited selection to the rogue's repertoire.
I guess most would avoid them because they'd be so hard to play on a solo mission, but that's the price for being
the jack of all trades, and the master of none.
