You only need one level of either Sorcerer or Bard, as well as 8 ranks in Lore, to become a RDD. There's not much in RDD that benefits a spellcaster much, so most builds with this class are melee oriented. The +8 bonus to strength really says it all. As a matter of fact, a Bard benefits much more from becomming a RDD than a Sorcerer.

A Fighter/Bard/RDD is a very powerful combo. The Fighters bonus feats, Weapon Specialization, and Attack Bonus combined with the RDD's strength bonus and immunities as well as the Bards songs and buffing spells makes for some serious melee. Add Devastating Critical to the mix and you're set for a day of mayhem.
