Not loads of points. 10 is adequate if you don't mind only being able to max two skills (to make a skill worthwhile, you generaly should put as many points into it as it will take. Splitting points between more skills than you can max means you generaly lag behind the DCs using that skill).

But your STR, CON and DEX are still important stats, and you only get one stat every 4 levels so you won't be getting all that much fast. Also, feat prerequisistes check against the base state, not including any bonuses from items, so you will need a high base STR to get the later combat feats, especialy when playing HotU.

INT has no effect on stat points, just skill points.
