Ok, I upgraded my card-drivers to detonator 45.23 and started a new game. The new game, offcourse
, runs smooth for extended periods of time (haven't seen it slow down once). So what's next? Is my save game corrupted? I'm definitely not starting a new game here....
I also tried (according to nwn forum) setting AGPX2 instead of X4 and disabling sound, all to no avail...
