Bastard Swords do just as much, Will, but I like the enchanted ones better.
My dual-wielder specialized in Bastard Swords, Katanas, and Long Swords. That way, he could use the best of the blades, combining between them for awesome combos. If you're a fighter type and can get Focus and Specialization, then they overcome the limits of using 2 medium weapons IMO.
