I have a multiclass Ranger/Fighter/Rogue and I use different combos of Katanas and Longswords depending on what I'm fighting. With a bit of trial and error, you will come up with two or three combos you like. My tip is to assign these combos to quickslots so you can change weapons with a single keystroke.
